With my trusty assistant (and Grade 12 student) Adele Okheena by my side, Arctic Mark was on the air a little after 7 pm. The previous shows had consisted of the announcer just reading the bingo numbers out one after the other for almost two hours, so to keep myself from going squirrelly I decided to try to "spice it up" a bit by playing some music now and then, and adding improvised jokes and commentary. I was completely winging it, with Adele as my "straight man" chuckling politely when required. I figured the locals would either enjoy my innovations, or drive me out of town on the next flight. Well, I must have done something right, because I'm still here, and they've asked me to be the Bingo Host from now on. Here are some samples of my best material: "Good Evening, Holman!! This is Arctic Mark and Awesome Adele coming to you LIVE from CKHI-LOVE This Place! Is Everybody ready for B-I-N-G-Oh YEAH!!? ....Our first number tonight is O-64...(Singing) Will you still need me, will you still feed me, when I'm O-64?" (It just got worse from there. Somebody please stop me before I broadcast again.)
