When I saw this cabin on the point, I knew I'd make it home alive, provided the wolves hadn't doubled back to head me off at the pass. This is one of several such cabins which are usually located near the water and dot the landscape for miles outside the town. They are used by local people for hunting and fishing trips throughout the year. The owner of this one was nowhere to be seen...I hoped the wolves hadn't got him. But then again, if they had, they wouldn't be as hungry, and maybe they'd return to their lair and leave me for another day's meal. Only time would tell...
