Elders Making Bannock & Chopping Char
One of the most interesting sights in the first couple of days was the sight of several elders coming out to the picnic, dressed in colourful traditional parkas and wearing helmets while riding their "quads" (4-wheel ATV's). It seemed to my untutored eyes like a nice symbol of tradition blending easily with modernity.
