Aside from the bone-crushing force of his deadly jaws, Lasse has some other impressive skills. For example, on search-and-rescue missions, he can find a person buried under snow from a kilometre away. And he can sniff out illegal drugs even when they've been vaccuum-sealed inside a package with a second layer of vaccuum-sealed mustard packed on top! Oh, and did I mention that he has been known to bite right through the "protective" arm-guard used by police trainers? This is one dog you do NOT want to cross! If I was a criminal anywhere in the NWT, I'd take up a rapid career change ASAP.
