There’s Gold in Them There Hills!
Well, actually, there isn't much gold left, apparently, so the Con mine shaft which has been a "pillar" of the local economy and has dominated the skyline here for so many years may be soon relegated to the dustbin of history. Anyway, diamonds are the new gold, so I'm told. And let's not forget that wonderful boon to the whole NWT, the incredible, beautiful, brilliant, hugely beneficial Mackenzie Valley Pipeline Project, which is the reason I'm here at all, and to which I will always be indebted for opening my eyes to the infinite joyful possibilities of natural gas!!!
