Seeking That Elusive Peace of Mine

Seeking That Elusive Peace of Mine

It's shrouded in snowfall here, but across this bay is the site of the notorious Giant Mine, where in 1992 during a bitter labour dispute, nine miners were killed in an explosion caused by another miner who took his hatred of his employers to an insane extreme. There is a monument to those workers by the Prince of Wales Heritage Museum. (Notice that out of respect for the dead miners I refrained from any references to the workers getting "shafted" by the company. Although I'm sure I must have violated some by-law about the maximum allowable bad puns in a photo caption.)
