Arctic Sunset #7: The Ice Cometh, Man!
I took this shot two days after Thanksgiving, on the way home from the store after school. I was struck by the beauty of the sunset (at 5:30 pm!), but also by how quickly the ice was forming on Queen's Bay. The wind was howling as fiercely as a cornered wolverine, and my fingers were freezing as I fumbled to take the picture.
Somehow I had missed this photo when I first put the October Gallery together, so I was pleasantly surprised to find it again recently and put it back in its rightful place.
