Arctic Mark's Photo Gallery (vol. 10 - May 2006)

The Merry Month of May is suddenly upon us, and the term "night" no longer has any discernible meaning, with sunrise before 4 am and sunset near midnight, and the hours in between merely a variation on (rapidly diminishing) dusk. It's the season for ice-fishing, polar bear hunting, and soon duck and geese hunting as well. It's also the time when many high school students come down with severe cases of "end-of-termitis," so attendance tends to be erratic in the these last few weeks of the school year, which ends on June 1st up here. And with the scenery and sunshine and balmy temperatures approaching freezing (from the other side) like we have now, who could blame them for heading out on the land instead of staying cooped up in a stuffy classroom? It'll be an outdoor photo extravaganza this month, so stay tuned!
