Arctic Mark's Photo Gallery (vol. 33 - June 2008)
June 2008 marks the official one-year mark since Arctic Mark's bittersweet farewell to Ulukhaktok, and my arrival here in Vancouver. Despite missing the people and landscapes of the north (not to mention friends and family back in Onterrible), I think I've managed to adapt fairly quickly to the idiosyncracies of life on the Left Coast. What an amazing year it's been, full of natural wonders, family bonding, cultural explorations, and a number of firsts for yours truly, first amongst them being my recent engagement to the lovely lady featured in many photos here over the past several months! So far this is shaping up to be the best summer ever....
Featured in this month's gallery: Action shots of "Active Girl" competing in the Rio Tinto Dragon Boat Festival at False Creek in Vancouver on the weekend of June 21-22, and a whole bunch of photos that I took on my solo month's-end mini-vacation to glorious Tofino on the wild west coast of Vancouver Island (another first for me).
