Arctic Mark's Photo Gallery (vol. 22 - May 2007)
Welcome to the penultimate Photo Gallery of my time here in Ulukhaktok/Holman. This will actually be the last full month's worth of photos from my Arctic adventure; I fly out to Vancouver on June 5, which means that I will have only a mere 5 days' worth of Arctic photos in the June Gallery, after which Arctic Mark will be reporting on life from the (equally exotic) Left Coast of Canada. I'm not sure yet whether I will start a new blog, or just continue this one as "Arctic Mark in Stanley Park." In the meantime, I hope you enjoy these photos! Featured this month: More printmaking classes, the Career Fair, the annual school ice-fishing trip to Okpilik Lake (where the above shot was taken of me jumping over a giant clump of musk-ox hide in a traditional Inuit game called "Avatuk"), Graduation 2007, and many other odds and ends in this merry month of May.
