Elsie Shows Off Her Custom T-Shirt

When I was chosen to appear as a contestant on CBC-TV's new quiz show, "Test The Nation," the producers originally asked all of the High School English teachers team to wear clothing with the school logo. We don't have any such items at our school, so I thought I would commission a local artist to design and create a t-shirt for me to wear. Peter Palvik ("The Prince of Prints") came up with a basic design for me, but suggested I find another artist with more experience in the t-shirt medium to make the shirt. My inquiries led me to Elsie Klengenberg, another fabulous artist in town, who adapted Peter's design and created this beautiful t-shirt. (This was actually the first time she had painted a design on a shirt.) I was thrilled to see her final design, and I will be very proud to wear this on national TV and show it off to Wendy Mesley. A big koana to Elsie for doing such a fantastic job (and so quickly!).
