Who was it who said, "Time marches on"? Well, whoever it was knew what they were talking about. Here we are already in the month that contains the Official First Day of Spring, and yet the air has been so cold for so long that your breath freezes in an instant and you can break off a chunk and suck on it like a popsicle! (Okay, a bit of an exaggeration, but when you have a succession of days down to minus 50 with wind chill, it feels exactly like that.) So, except for the steadily increasing daylight hours, the idea of "spring" doesn't really kick in up here until, oh, I don't know, sometime in May. Featured this month: two trips out (to Edmonton for the GETCA Conference and to Toronto for my quiz show adventure on "Test The Nation"), the School of Rock goes electric, Traditional Sled Building 101, and a few other items of photographic interest as usual.
March came in like a thundering herd of lemmings. How will it go out? Like a cornered wolverine? A rampaging musk-ox? A hibernating grizzlor? Stay tuned to find out...
