One of the most haunting sounds you will hear up here is the occasional baying of the sled dogs. One will start, and soon the rest of the pack joins in, and this will often spur the other packs, who are tied up around the edges of the town, to join the chorus. In this case, it was either the movement of the sled across the bay, or Chilly taunting them with her freedom, that caused them to start howling en masse.
