Arctic Mark's Photo Gallery (vol. 15 - Oct. 2006)

Fall up here is not so much a discernible season as a fleeting impression. At the end of this October, the snow is already here to stay, the bays are finally icing over (later than last year - global warming, anyone?), the lemmings are hurtling headlong towards mass hibernation, and the sun is setting alarmingly earlier every night (global darkening, anyone?). This month in Ulukhaktok has seen births, deaths, and everything in between (ie. life going on as always).

I've been a little lax in the photo department, partly due to my efforts to post more often. Maybe I'll strike a better balance in November...and maybe the wolverines will become friends with the rabbits, and invite them over for tea and crumpets...
